Gillian Sheikh

Gillian Sheikh is a St. Louis-based creative who enjoys making art as a personal form of encouragement and relaxation.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, each piece is an expression of love's power to win again and again and a reminder to never give up on yourself. With a strong attention to detail and lots of color, she pours herself into paintings on canvas, decorative baskets made from plastic bags, wooden pendants from walnut shells, and oven-baked clay figures.

When not in the studio, she enjoys taking care of and spending time with her family, walking her beagles, practicing tai chi, playing piano, and working for ZeCoat.
